This is based on a historical reality. There were many medical experiments performed in the concentration camps during WW2. Maybe there was useful data there, maybe there wasn't...but the international concensus was that it was off limits because of the way in which it was obtained. So there's strong historical precedent.

Is Gideon's moral compass being used at magnetic north, did I miss something

I don't see them as contradictory. He did not in his actions murder tens of thousands of people. He broke some local laws, sure, but there's simply no comparison between that and the extermination of other lives.

I've not read the script myself YET ... but I've spoken with three separate people who have (they work for effects houses in the Vancouver area, where it's being shot), and they all say the same ... **** is mentioned, but not seen. Everyone else is new.

I realize that you probably can't/won't comment on this, but you might want to do a quick inventory of the scripts. <g> If there's anything to this, Vancouver must be leaking like a sieve. I'm amazed that you were able to keep "B5" under wraps for as long as you did given that on "Rangers" the following has been reported:
1) That you were in Vancouver in February
2) The subject, working title and approximate budget for the "Rangers" movie.
3) The possible main guest star.
I'm guessing that (2) was probably an accurate report, since Sci-Fi made the official announcement a few days later. I don't know about (1) and (3), but if they are correct you guys have a security problem up there.</font></p>
Well, if all this is known, then I guess I really don't have to comment much on where things are right now....

Dunno...my guess is they're taking advantage of the fact that, as I understand it, they got all the scripts in for that book early, and since some other books tend to get delayed for various reasons, they wanted to go the other way for a change.
But that's only my theory.

It's okay. We hit a delay when the artist cut out on us, but we're getting back on track again. The art on this new issue is easiliy the best we've had to date.

The rule of the game is that it's okay to say anything you want, about anybody, no matter how offensive or incorrect...but to defend yourself (or someone else), to take the person to task for it, THAT'S somehow wrong, it means you can't stand the heat, or you're infringing their right to speak, or being rude, or somesuch.
It's carte blanche for the assholes and the nutcases and the rude folk to say any damned thing they want, no matter how untrue, hurtful, or libelous. And most astonishing of all is that people buy INTO this bullshit.
The ones who badrap everybody the most, who feel that they have the right to do whatever they want to other people, are always the ones who go most bugfuck when somebody goes after THEM in return. THAT they don't like, THAT is unfair.
It's the logic of the guy who pees in the pool 'cause he thinks its fun.

Okay, some general updates....
The first week of Crusade on SFC actually outpulled B5, coming in at 1.0 for the week, with B5 at .7 (up from .6 the previous week...the series is now in its second rerun cycle at SFC, and is again beginning the pattern of rising as the arc starts moving). For the week Crusade was the #5 rated show, B5 #10. So B5 now constitutes 2 out of the top 10 shows for SFC, and Crusade is the highest rated strip show on SFC.
On the Legend of the Rangers....
Sets are being built even as I write this. Designs have been worked out that take the B5 look to a new level, including a ship unlike anything we've ever done before, very ambitious, very different appearance.
Most of the cast has been set, there are only two roles left to be cast and those should be locked down in a couple of days. It's starting to pick up considerable speed and momentum. SFC and WB are *extremely* pleased with the script.
There are some comments here and there about the B5 actor who will appear in the TV movie, and the director, but I can't comment pending a press release from SFC, which should be out shortly.
I think people are going to be pleased and surprised by the look and feel of the show...it has an energy that feels a lot like S3 of B5...by turns funny, intense, weird, with action and some very nice character stuff.
It's gonna be very cool....
